Door Heaters

Three standard sizes of door heaters are manufactured with duty range varying from 0.75m3/sec. to 1.5m3/sec. and capable of lifting air temperatures by 39ºC at maximum duty. Each are suitable to serve maximum door heights of 3.8 metres, and should ideally overlap each side of the door by a minimum of 150mm. Units are provided with speed controls so that air volumes can be varied to suit prevailing condition.

High volume buildings such as supermarkets and retail centres prefer permanently open doors during hours of trading. Air curtains largely prevent air movement from one space to another and by doing so offset heating and cooling costs.

We have developed a full curtain system, supply air being evenly distributed over the door width and the air pattern being kept straight by drawing it down through a full width grate and sunken return trough. Airflow can be controlled through a BMS system, with air velocities increasing and decreasing to suit prevelant wind conditions, heating rising and falling to suit temperature conditions.

A unique down flow grille ensures even distribution across the full width with maximum door openings to-date of 9.0 metres being treated.
