Because of this investment in technology and machinery, we are also able to offer sub-contract manufacturing services.

Due to considerable resources of practical experience, a "hands-on" capability and flexible approach to contracting, the company is able to undertake a wide range of installation work, - from small school kitchens to large-scale "Fast-Track" projects in commercial catering facilities.

With a total capability in the design, supply and installation of turnkey air ducting and extraction systems - from initial site survey and estimate through manufacture, installation and commissioning - F. Shaw & Co. Ltd. is able to provide a complete Project Management service to Architects, Building Services Consultants, Builders and Main contractors for a variety of installations.

Our computerised estimating systems allow quick response to tender requests and offers quantified schedules of rates or bill of quantities if required.

Testing & Commissioning

Personnel within our company have all the relevant experience and knowledge to full test and commission the airflow systems that we install.

From testing air volumes and pressures within ducts to terminal volume measured with balometer and velocity testing with anemometer we possess full calibrated equipment to perform the task in hand. Digital temperature, humidity and noise level meters compliment the range and ductwork leakage tests can be performed if requested.

Ductwork Services

F. Shaw & Co. Ltd. have capacity for manufacture and installation of ductwork services to given standards, with our general standard being DW144 low, medium and high pressure / velocity air systems.

Specialist advice is always at hand and our on site staff are fully trained to comply with latest legislation, and carry appropriate mobile platform and scaffold erection certification. CDM is complied with and we submit risk and method statements as required. All our staff are directly employed and have the ability and experience to effectively deal with varying site requirements. Site supervisors monitor quality to ensure that all targets are met.

Our aim is to offer flexibility to ensure that the client and customer receives the service they require to the given standard and within the time frame allowed.

General Fabrication Projects

A variety of fabrication work on various projects are, regularly undertaken, ranging from gantries and working platforms to specific requirements to fulfil customer requests.

A contract of this nature was recently undertaken in a joint design project with Calderdale Council where we were commissioned to design the structural element of new market stalls. The complete manufacture and site erection was carried out by ourselves including all roof cladding, fascias, gutters, lighting and anti-vandalism covers.

The success of the project at Todmorden has resulted in the promise of repeat enquiries for markets throughout areas of Calderdale.
